Job Interview?
Q. I have a job interview for the new Kohl's that is hiring (located in my town). I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for job interviews, being that this is my first one and I am a bit nervous since it is a group interview. Oh, and if you have any experience working at Kohl's can you tell me what it is like working there? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I would also like to know what to wear to the interview (which is how this question fits into beauty and style).

A. I feel most confident in an interview when I am prepared. With that being said, I would become familiar with the products at Kohls...what do they sell, who are they targeting as their consumer, etc? In addition, I would try to anticipate questions that you might be asked and mentally rehearse your answers to those questions. Some questions that you might be asked are as follows: 1. Why do you want to work at Kohls? 2. What are you strengths/weaknesses 3. What is your availability? 4. How would you deal with an irate customer? 5. If a customer asks you where to find an item and you don't know what the item is or where it is located, what would you do? 6. What experiences have you had that will prepare you to be an employee at Kohls?… [cont.]

A. Congratulation for giving importance to your future. Anyway, try to wear a semi-formal outfit. Another thing is that before you get in to the room, do some stretching to get relaxed and be ready to do some sternous activity. I'll be praying for your career.

What do you take to a job interview you got through a temp agency?
Q. I have a job interview that I got through the temp agency I work for. Since they forwarded my resume and everything to them do I need to bring a resume with me? It seems less formal than if I had found the job on my own. I have never had an interview before because they have just sent me to the job site so I am unsure of what to do.

A. From personal experience, always bring a few copies of your resume with you. Yes, the temp agency has probably forwarded copies to the people interviewing you, but these are busy people who are trying to run a business with at least one team member missing - you!! People misplace things, help them by being prepared and hand it over with a smile. Good luck!!

What questions are asked in a job group interview or how does it work any ideas?
Q. I have a job interview tomorrow for a Receptionist/Concierge position in an Assisted Living Senior Living Retirement, and it is going to be a group interview. In my pasts interviews they have always been 1 on 1. Can any one let me know how it works and what questions might be asked? I have never done a group interview before and not sure what to expect. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

A. The questions are about the same. What they tend to do in group interviews is they will switch off on questions and one watches your reactions and assesses you while the other asks the questions.

What would be some pointers on a job interview for a head start?
Q. I am going to a job interview for a head start. I have previous experience working with children in an after-school program and summer camp but the age group was 7-13 this would be the first time I am working with a large group of 3-5 yr olds. A. Some things an interviewer will look at is if you have questions for them (which you should), are well-dressed, on time, did your research about their company and the job, make eye contact with every person interviewing you, and promote a positive, confident aura. Also, like a previous person said, wear subdued colors (gray, black, etc.), don't wear perfume, a lot of jewelry, or a lot of makeup. Bring a copy of your resume just in case. Also, if they ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are, don't say "Well my weakness is this..." Don't even say the word weakness. Just make your weakness into a more positive thing, "Well, a challenge I have would be this...but with the training and experience I get with the job, I will be able to… [cont.]

How to dress for a job interview at bank?
Q. I have a job interview for a management position. I am currently employed by the same ban, as an assistant manager. It will be a panel interview, with three people. I already met two of the interviewers a few times. I am planning to wear a suit with skirt. It is gray, with faded dark pink strips. It looks very professional, but what is concerning me, is the pink strips. Do you think it is OK to wear this outfit, or I should think of something else?

What to wear for a job interview as a receptionist?
Q. I am going to have a job interview on Saturday to be a receptionist in a dance school for girls. I don't know what to wear. Can anyone give me any ideas on what is appropriate to wear to a interview?
Asked by the sweetest thing - Thu Aug 6 17:33:22 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. As a potential receptionist, you are the first image of the company to a visitor. As such, you want to look polished and professional, unless you know that this is not welcome at this location. Most likely you should wear a business suit, or slacks and blazer with a shell or button front blouse. Make sure your nails are clean and neat. Not too long. Don't wear anything that will detract from the image that the company wants to present to it's visitors. Practice walking in front of a mirror, watching your facial expressions and eye contact. Do you look professional and project a positive and polished image? If so, couple that with a good solid resume and an image showing you are capable of handling whatever will come your way on the job, [cont.]

A. i would recommend flats since they are a lot more comfortable to walk in, or maybe go for a kitten heel. as for the clothes try a summer semi-formal dress. something that makes you look (and feel) confident. pair it with a blazer to give it a more professional look, and try on both heels and flats to see which one looks better. good luck(:!!

Q. OK, it's a long history so let's be short. I had a job interview and they picked me up in the airport and took me to my hotel. Next day I had my interview and had a "stroll" for all the offices and instalations of the company. What does a 14 year old bring and wear to a job interview at a grocery store?
Q. I am going to be working in a grocery store in New York, and I'm 14, what should i be wearing to the job interview? What do i bring to the job interview? Anything else i need to know? This will be my first interview for a job, so i need to know what will happen throughout the entire interview.

A. Rule of thumb is for an interview, you dress one level up then what you would normally wear at work. So take a look at what people usually wear there. If you are a guy, a collar button up shirt and khakis would suffice. Since you're only 14, I'd bring your birth certificate and social security card as two forms of identification. They will just ask you simple questions to get to know you better and decide if you'd make a good employee, just be honest, I'm sure they know it's your first job and it will be fine

A. Pretty much what skills you have, and theyll ask to tell them a bit about yourself, what you would like to be doing 5 years from now. If you know anything about the company, if you can work under pressure, your strenghts and weakness. Just be honest, and not nervous

I have applied at Taco Bell and McDonalds and will be applying at Papa Murphys and maybe Dominos, Wendys and Zantigo. I do not know what they ask at the interview and what is the best way to answer the most common interview questions. Please help! Thanks so much!

A. Pretty much what skills you have, and theyll ask to tell them a bit about yourself, what you would like to be doing 5 years from now. If you know anything about the company, if you can work under pressure, your strenghts and weakness. Just be honest, and not nervous

What is the most conservative way to do your nails for a job interview?
Q. I have a job interview with the Army JAG Corps and I need to look as conservative and professional as possible. I am going to pull my hair back and wear a muted, neutral skirt suit with pearl earrings. But what color should I do my nails? Should I get a pale pink, a bright red, a french manicure, or just paint them clear? I am interviewing for a legal position and legal employers always say their interviewees are not conservative enough. So what is the most conservative way to do your nails? I need to look like Margaret Thatcher, basically. Also, would you wear an american flag pin with your suit if you were interviewing for a civilian job with the military? Any other advice on how to look as conservative & professional as possible at… [cont.]

A. Traveling is interesting but may imply you'll need time off for fun. Tell them your creative and then tell them about about things you craft, make, build, invent, paint, draw, write or whatever you do.
